Net Neutrality

Net neutrality is the idea that service providers including governments must handle all content on the Internet equally and not tailor or manipulate content based on geographic location and the demographics of the users as well as not adjust subscriptions and monetary charges based on the user. At this point net neutrality is a concept but there is a current debate as to whether of not net neutrally should be mandated by law. Those in favor of net neutrality argue telecommunication entities seek control information and ration content for a price which defeats the original intent of the internet.
