Transparent Social Media

Transparency is essential to democracy. Social media has helped to keep politics transparent by making all aware of what is happening as well as making politicians respond to matters and issues publicly and in writing. Social media puts all issues out in clear day light so politicians are forced to respond. When a politicians ignores a matter or acts nonchalantly it reflects poorly on them so it is imperative that politicians respond to their social media followers. This helps foster accountability.
